Privacy Policy

This policy applies to aptient.com, operated by Aptient Consulting Pty Ltd (ABN available on request), a company incorporated in Australia. It describes what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it.

This policy was last updated in May 2026. If we make material changes, we will update this page.

Information we collect

We collect information only when you choose to submit it. The contact form on this website collects:

• Your name
• Your email address
• The message you write

We do not collect information passively through tracking pixels, advertising networks, or user behaviour analytics. We do not use Google Analytics or equivalent services on this site.

Why we collect it

Contact form submissions are used solely to respond to your enquiry. We do not add you to a mailing list, share your details with third parties for marketing purposes, or use your information for any purpose other than the conversation you initiated.

Third-party services

The contact form uses two third-party services:

• Cloudflare Turnstile — a privacy-preserving CAPTCHA alternative used to verify that submissions come from humans. Cloudflare may process limited technical information (IP address, browser characteristics) for this verification. Cloudflare's privacy policy is available at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
• Mailgun — used to deliver email notifications of contact form submissions to our team. Mailgun processes the name, email address, and message content to route the email. Mailgun's privacy policy is available at mailgun.com/legal/privacy-policy.

We do not use any other third-party data processors in connection with this website.

Data retention

Contact form submissions are logged in our internal systems and retained for up to 12 months, after which they are deleted. Correspondence arising from an enquiry may be retained for longer if required for the purposes of the business relationship.

Security

This site is served over HTTPS (TLS 1.2 minimum). Contact form submissions are transmitted to our API over an encrypted connection. Access to stored submissions is restricted to authorised Aptient personnel.

Cookies

We do not set cookies for tracking or analytics purposes. Cloudflare Turnstile may set a short-lived functional cookie as part of its verification process. No persistent tracking cookies are placed by this website.

Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, you have the right to request access to personal information we hold about you, and to request correction if it is inaccurate. If you are located in the European Union or United Kingdom, you may also have rights under the GDPR or UK GDPR, including the right to erasure and the right to data portability.

In the event of an eligible data breach, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as required under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

Under the Age of Majority

This website is directed at businesses and professionals. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals not of the age of majority.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page will reflect when it was last revised. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
